The Piper Cub, formerly known as the Taylor E-2 Cub, was first of many impressive flying machines to be rolled out of Piper aircraft's aviation factory. The Piper J3 Cub was the upgrade to the J2 Cub after the Piper factory burnt to the ground in 1938.
