Bhutan, also known as Druk Yul, meaning "Land of the Thundering Dragon", is a small kingdom nestled in the Himalayas. Surrounded by India on one side and China on the other, Bhutan was opened to tourists in the 1970s, and as a result is largely untouched by modern civilisation.
