What Is Voluntourism?
Voluntourism is a fairly new term that denotes a greener kind of travel strategy. It's touring a new country for your own interest and benefit, but also doing some volunteer work that leaves the country a better place for having hosted you. The volunteer projects are usually environmentally focused or to do with town betterment, and are aimed at building a better community for the locals.
