Siem Reap, Cambodia's second largest city, until last two decades really only a large village, was considered to be a citadel of culture, politics and commerce. Actually, this label belongs correctly to one-thousand-years-old Khmer civilization of Angkor that once thrived on the outskirts of contemporary Siem Reap.
