CityRail's double-decker trains operate on seven major lines. The City Circle loop, which runs mostly underground, is the main line through the city centre, stopping at Central, Town Hall, Wynyard, Circular Quay, St James and Museum. All suburban lines connect with the City Circle at Central and Town Hall stations.
