Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine is well connected to the rest of the world with two Airports namely Kiev Airport and Boryspil Airport. Till 1960, Kiev Airport was the main airport, but with the construction of Boryspil airport, the importance of Kiev airport has somewhat waned, and during the Soviet rule, it was mainly used for domestic flights only.
