On the Trans Siberian railway, the last leg of the journey from Beijing to Moscow begins in Yekaterinburg, the main city of the Urals region. Yekaterinburg is perhaps most famous for being where the last Russian emperor, Nicholas II, died with his family in 1918. However, there is more to the city than this tragic event.
